Winners For Industry Celebration Racing For Good Charity Day

The Industry Celebration Racing For Good Charity Day will be held at Royal Randwick this Saturday (29th Jul). The course proper was rated a Soft 5 on Thursday and with mainly fine weather in Sydney leading up to the weekend, Randwick will border on Good/Soft condition on raceday.

Debut winner Estriella can make it two wins from two career starts by taking out the opening event at Randwick (Sydney Race 1, 1100m). Estriella created a huge impression with a dominant win at Gosford back on June 22. And the ruuner-up, Sicilian, has franked the form being a subsequent city winner at Kensington. The 2YO filly should appreciate the open spaces of Randwick and she has drawn beautifully in gate 4. Dylan Gibbons will settle just off the pace on the fence and Estriella will prove too strong in the run home.

The Bjorn Baker-trained Diamond Dealer should be fitter after a first up 4th over this course and distance three weeks ago (Sydney Race 7, 1100m). The mare should come to hand quickly and she ran on hard when winning second-up last preparation at Kembla Grange. The 4YO loves 1100m with three wins and a 2nd from seven attempts at the trip. Zac Lloyd will sit just behind the leading bunch and Diamond Dealer will run over the top of this field.

Insurrection can make it three wins in a row by taking out the Kanebridge Handicap (Sydney Race 8, 1100m). After a close up 2nd first-up, the 3YO gelding has won his next two starts over this course and distance. Going up in class on Saturday but carrying less weight. Insurrection has good gate speed and that should offset a wide barrier. Zac Lloyd will go forward and settle one off one back and Insurrection will be ready to pounce round the home turn.
