Please note due to the heatwave conditions forecast for Saturday 12th January, the race times at Rosehill Gardens will be altered, with the first race now scheduled to start at the 2.55pm.
Racing NSW Stewards have made the decision to push back the start time of Saturday’s race day with temperatures expected to peak at 43 degrees in western Sydney around midday.
Australian Turf Club CEO Darren Pearce said the Club fully supported the change.
“With a cooler change expected mid-afternoon, we have delayed the start time of Saturday’s races in the hope that conditions will be more conducive to safer racing,” Mr Pearce said.
“The gates will still open at the advertised time; however patrons can arrive to the racecourse later than planned and not miss any of the racing action.”
The new race start times are:
Race 1 2.55pm
Race 2 3.35pm
Race 3 4.15pm
Race 4 4.55pm
Race 5 5.40pm
Race 6 6.12pm
Race 7 6.50pm
Race 8 7.20pm
Gates will open at 11am.
