Premier Sydney jockey Hugh Bowman has been suspended for careless riding at Warwick Farm on Saturday.
It was alleged that Bowman had allowed his mount, the Kris Lees-trained Nuptse, to shift near the 800 metre mark forcing She’s Clean onto Dark Brown Sugar, who in turn took the rightful running of Charzed, in the Bowermans Office Furniture Handicap (1200m).
Bowman was found guilty under AR137 (a) for his ride and has been rubbed out for 5 meetings. He will return on 26th January for the Australia Day Cup meeting at Warwick Farm.
