Saturday’s Lightning Stakes winner Coolangatta has pulled up in great order from the race, according to co-trainer David Eustace, who added that a decision hadn’t been made on when her next start will be.
The three-year-old filly had a recovery session at the beach on Sunday before heading to Fulmen Park for a few days off on Monday morning.
Eustace confirmed that a trip to Royal Ascot in June was still on the agenda for Coolangatta.
“That’s a medium to long term plan,” said Eustace, who trains in partnership with Ciaron Maher.
“Where she runs next, we actually haven’t decided.”
Coolangatta is at $17 for the Newmarket Handicap on March 11 at Flemington, should she head in that direction.
The dual group one winner is nominated for the T J Smith Stakes and the Arrowfield 3YO Sprint in Sydney in April and is at $12 and $4 for those two assignments, respectively.
