New Zealand champion galloper Ocean Park has been back in trainer Gary Hennessy’s stable for the past month.
Hennessy is expected to step up the pace on Ocean Park’s preparation this week in order to resume in the Group 1 Haunui Farm WFA Classic over 1600m at Otaki on 23rd February.
Ocean Park’s global assault will then begin in earnest when he runs in the Group 1 Dubai Duty Free (1700m) at the World Cup meeting on 30th March.
He will then fly over to England to compete in the Group 1 Queen Ann Stakes (1600m) at Royal Ascot in June, follow by the Group 1 Irish Champion Stakes (2000m), the race won by Aussie champ So You Think in 2011, at Leopardstown in September.
Ocean Park is likely to be ridden in his Dubai and European races by champion Irish jockey Johnny Murtagh.
