Worthington hopes for 3 in a row with his golden girl

Rick Worthington’s unbeaten filly Golden Sunshine contests the bloodstock.com.au handicap over 1100m at Rosehill on Saturday and Worthington is hoping his promising filly can win again after having won her last two. “ I actually think she has improved again since her last win but Saturday will be a good test for her and it looks like being a good form race”.

The three year old filly by Danzero will go for a break win lose or draw tomorrow says Worthington with the aim of coming back in the autumn in particular to race over 6 furlongs at Flemington. “I might be getting ahead of myself but I have always had aspirations that this filly would be suited down the straight six at flemington”.

Greg Hickman has found key to Shamardani

Greg Hickman has Shamardani racing at Rosehill on Saturday and is hoping he has found the key to his mare by spacing her runs and keeping her racing at around a mile. “She seems to like racing 3 weeks apart and she worked very well on Tuesday morning and I am very happy with her” said Hickman.  Last preparation the mare produced good runs over 2000m but Hickman has noted a happier mare since he kept her fresh and at the shorter trips.

Shamardani finished second at Rosehill last start on the third of November to talented mare ‘Bound to Blush’ and Hickman and his team are looking forward to another bold run with the mare going just as well into this run as her previous start.
