Hong Kong based jockey Brett Prebble successfully having another hit and run mission in an Australian Group 1 race on board Green Moon this afternoon. Lloyd Williams had booked Prebble to ride Green Moon once the horse was confirmed for a start in the Melbourne Cup.
Prebble has repaid the faith shown in him by steering Green Moon to a famous victory ahead of the Waterhouse trained import Fiorente. Jakkalberry finished third with the Australian Derby winner Ethiopia knocked up and finished last.
Prebble was also successful in his hit and run mission in 2010 when he rode Crystal Lily to win the Golden Slipper.
