Well known and highly regarded horseman Greg McNamara has been appointed Manager of the picturesque spelling farm, Carinya Lodge Cloud Valley Farm. Carinya Lodge proprietor Mr. Tim Hughes also announced that the spelling farm would extend its services to include Breaking In & Pre-training following the completion of a capital works program to build more Stables, an Arena, Round Yard and associated infrastructure within a Breaking In Centre on the farm.
Tim Hughes said today “it is a coupe to be able to recruit someone of the calibre of Greg. He is regarded as one of the leading horsemen in the State. Ever since we opened our doors in August 2010 we have had great support from leading Metropolitan and Provincial Trainers. The appointment of Greg and the building of our Breaking In Centre will take the farm to the next level. On numerous occasions trainers have asked me if we can break in as well as Spell. Greg has over 25 years as a horseman and horse farm manager. He will lead a team of staff dedicated to the rest, recuperation, well being and education of horses that come to our farm”
Carinya Lodge Manager Greg McNamara said today “I have been seeking a role like this for a long time. Cloud Valley Farm is a very special place. The team at Carinya Lodge is focused on ensuring each horse receives individual care and attention so they return to the trainers in first class condition. In addition we will now be able to provide a seamless transition from paddock or sale yard to breaking in, to spell to trainer etc. We will also cater for breeders and trainers/owners who only wish to use our breaking in service. I am looking forward to my new role with much anticipation and excitement. The opportunity to work horses from a brand new & purpose built facility on such a magnificent property will be great.”
