Hawkesbury Returns To Racing After Redevelopment

The newly redeveloped Hawkesbury track will be put to the test today as it holds it’s first meeting since the $5million works commenced on the course proper last November.

The entire Hawkesbury course proper was re-turfed, drainage laid, the home straight extended by a 100-metres to make it a 400m run home and a new stewards’ tower, racecaller and judge’s box.

Fine weather forecast for Hawkesbury. The track has been rated a Good 3 with penetrometer 4.74. The rail is in the true position.
