Horse No.7 – CRIMSON LADY (NZ) (Flemington 9/3/2013): When questioned, rider could offer no explanation from the performance of the mare after the mare was eased down in the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Horse No.13 – FABRIANO (Moonee Valley 15/3/2013): Jumped away awkwardly. Approaching and rounding the home turn was held up until the 200m.
Horse No.1 – LAST GIFT (Echuca 10/3/2013): When questioned, after the gelding performed below market expectations, rider explained in his opinion that there was something amiss with the gelding’s actions over the concluding stages and for this reason he eased the gelding down. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore leg and minor lacerations to both forelegs. Trainer was notified that prior to the gelding racing again he must provide a veterinary clearance. Vet certificate since received.
