Interstate Stewards Extracts – Rosehill Gardens (Saturday 22nd June)

Please note the following interstate stewards extracts for the Rosehill Gardens race meeting on Saturday, 22nd June 2013.

RACE 1:-
Horse No. 1 – DEVISED (Caulfield 25/5/2013): Steadied off heels near the 800m. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running until nearing the 100m.
Horse No. 2 – SECESSIO (GB) (Moonee Valley 15/6/2013): Change of Tactics: To be ridden back from outside barrier – Settled back.
Horse No. 8 – CELTIC PRINCE (NZ) (Eagle Farm 8/6/2013): Steadied off heels when over-racing near the 1000m. Severely checked near the 500m. Rider said after suffering interference at the 500m was reluctant to apply pressure as he felt horse may sustained an injury. Added once balanced he pressured horse over the final 250m where it made some ground. Post-race veterinary examination revealed blood in nearside nostril. Passed 1000m gallop in presence of stewards on Tuesday, 18 June 2013.

RACE 4:-
Horse No. 1 – SEE THE WORLD (Doomben 18/5/2013): Was bumped and taken in near the 1000m. Rider said mount never travelled comfortably and was inclined to lay out.
Horse No. 5 – EMOTIONAL CIRCUS (Eagle Farm 1/6/2013): Was slowly away.

RACE 5:-
Horse No. 5 – KISSES (NZ) (Riccarton (NZ) 20/4/2013): Began awkwardly and then raced wide for the majority of the race. Rider said mount raced keenly from the 800m and in his opinion mount was not comfortable in track conditions.

RACE 8:-
Horse No. 2 – CARRICK (NZ) (Eagle Farm 11/5/2013): Was fractious in barriers and underwent veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.
