Interstate Stewards Extracts – Scone (Saturday 18th May)

Please note the following interstate stewards extracts for the Scone race meeting on Saturday, 18th May 2013.

RACE 1:-
Horse No. 5 – TRAJET (Doomben 27/4/2013): Had to be eased when momentarily tightened for room after passing the winning post on the first occasion.

RACE 4:-
Horse No. 4 – GENTEEL (Caulfield 27/4/2013): Near the 50m was checked to avoid heels. Rider stated filly performed below market expectations, and explained that the filly maybe improved with a gear change of winkers or perhaps blinkers. A post-race veterinary examination of the horse revealed no abnormalities.

RACE 6:-
Horse No. 16 – ANETO (Caulfield 11/5/2013): In the early and middle stages was inclined to over-race with its head up due to the slow pace.
Horse No. 18 (2nd Em) – ELFINA (Sandown-Hillside 8/5/2013): Rider reported that his mount was not suited with blinkers.

RACE 7:-
Horse No. 3 – NINTH LEGION (Doomben 17/4/2013): Approaching the first turn was bumped by another runner, then raced wide without cover. Rider could offer no tangible explanation for the poor performance other than the horse failed to handle today’s prevailing track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. A swab sample was taken.
Horse No. 5 – HOLY TOLEDO (Gold Coast 4/5/2013): Was slow to begin.

RACE 8:-
Horse No. 1 – ORTENSIA (Flemington 9/3/2013): Rider stated the mare did not appreciate racing tightly amongst other runners in the early and middles stages.
Horse No. 9 – METALLURGICAL (Eagle Farm 20/4/2013): Was hampered at the start when tightened for room.
Horse No. 10 – LIESELE (Doomben 27/4/2013): After passing the 200m was held up for clear running until passing the 100m.
