It Smells Like A Great Edition Of The Golden Rose Stakes

The first of the seasonal 3yo G1 races is the Golden Rose (1400m) and it looks like being one of the best runnings of the race.

The Golden Slipper quinella of Shinzo ($4.50) and Cylinder ($3.50) will probably be there but the race is so much deeper with G1 winners King Colorado ($6) and Militarize ($11) also runners.

But the addition of recent winners Charm Stone ($8), Libertad ($21) and Encap ($11) just means it will be betting with so many angles.

Fillies and mares are focused on the G2 Golden Pendant (1400m) and multiple G1 gals are in the nominations. Atishu ($4.50), Espiona ($2.50), Sheeza Belter ($6) and Zougotcha ($2.80) make up plenty of quality.

One of the last Epsom lead ups is the G2 Shannon Stakes (1500m) where Chris Waller has a big hand. Zougotcha ($6) is nommed here as well but she has stable mates Waterford ($2.30), New Mandate ($15) and the import Magical Lagoon ($26).

Stayers may back up into the Metrop out of the G3 Colin Stephen Quality (2400m) and Verona ($3.50), Desert Icon ($6) and Athabascan ($2.80) have good recent form.

The other black type race on the program is the Listed Heritage Stakes (1100m) where a surprise Everest contender could emerge. Kristilli ($15) may take on the boys like Ozzmosis ($2) or King’s Gambit ($8).
