Last Saturday’s Manion Cup (2400m) winner Julienas has been penalised 1.5kg for the SydneyCup.
Racing NSW handicappers has issued the penalty after the Gai Waterhouse-trained galloper won the Listed event by almost 2 lengths carrying 59kg.
Waterhouse has indicated that Julienas will start in the Chairman’s Handicap (2600m) on April 13 as a final lead-up to the Sydney Cup which will be run on April 27.
