The training partnership between Lee Freedman and Graeme Rogerson is over. The reason has not been made public but Freedman said the break-up of the partnership was amicable and would end later this month.
Freedman entered into a surprise partnership with Rogerson in April. He has been running their stable at Randwick while Rogerson has been based in New Zealand.
Freedman stood down as head trainer of the family’s Markdel stable in Victoria last year, citing a break was needed from the pressure of training. His younger brother, Anthony has assumed the role of head trainer at the Markdel stable since.
Last week Anthony Freedman also made a major career move by announcing he was closing down the Markdel stable at Rye to take up 50 boxes at Flemington.
