Hong Kong sprinting champion Lucky Nine has won the Group 1 Singapore Krisflyer International Sprint (1200m) at Kranji on Sunday.
Ridden by ex-pat Aussie Brett Prebble, Lucky Nine won the Group 1 race in 1:08.71, beating Australian entry Bel Sprinter by 3 lengths.
The Jason Warren-trained Bel Sprinter settled second last before making his run rounding for home.He put up a good sprint to finish 2nd but was no match for Lucky Nine.
The Michael Freedman-trained local Super Easy was another head away for 3rd.
Warren is already plotting revenge against the winner, aiming Bel Sprinter at the $2m Hong Kong International Sprint (1200m) at Sha Tin in December.
