Paul Messara has confirmed this morning on Sky Sports Radio that stable star Ortensia will run first up in Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) at Caulfield on Saturday week. Messara intends to give the mare a solid gallop on Friday.
The stable expects Ortensia will get around 57.5kg to 58kg in the Group 1 race.
Criag Williams has been booked to ride Ortensia in the Oakleigh Plate.
Meanwhile, the Waterhouse stable has confirmed that Rosehill Guineas winner Laser Hawk will run 1st up in the Apollo Stakes on the 23rd February
