BC3 Thoroughbreds and Arrowfield stud have together purchased the classy mare, Soft Sand, to race and breed with in the future.
Simon Marshall from BC3 Thoroughbreds says Soft Sand is ideal type to not only race but breed with in the future particularly if she salutes in a Group One race.
Formerly trained by Colin Little in Melbourne, Soft Sand will move to the Paul Messara stable. The mare has been in light training for a short period and will most likely float to the Scone stables of Paul Messara on Saturday.
In 12 starts for Little, Soft Sand won four races including the Listed Kevin Hayes Stakes (1200m) last February.
Her career best effort probably came at her most recent outing when she finished a neck 2nd to Appearance in the Group 1 Myer Classic (1600m) at Flemington on Derby Day.
