Star colt Pierro is scheduled to trial again at Warwick Farm on Friday.
Pierro won a 1030m barrier trial with Waterhouse stable track rider Mark Newnham aboard last week replacing an injured Nash Rawiller.
The 3YO has not started since finishing 2nd to All Too Hard in the Caulfield Guineas before a courageous 3rd in the Cox Plate.
All Too Hard has resumed racing last week winning the Group 1 C.F. Orr Stakes at Caulfield. However it is unlikely to see the two star colts racing against each other in the Australian Guineas this Autumn. Pierro is slightly behind schedule in his preparation for the Autumn so he will not be ready for the Guineas whereas All Too Hard is being aimed at the Group 1 Futurity Stakes before he moves up to Sydney to continue his Autumn campaign.
Spring Champion Stakes winner It’s A Dundeel has returned to Sydney to begin his Australian Derby campaign and will be seen against Pierro inĀ the sameĀ barrier trial at Warwick Farm on Friday.
