Race Start Alteration – Sapphire Coast (Monday 25th March)

Please note Sapphire Coast Turf Club officials has conducted an inspection on Wednesday of the 1200-metre chute ahead of the club’s scheduled race meeting on Monday, 25th March 2013.

This chute was found to be particularly soft and deemed unsafe for racing at their most recent meeting on 8th March 2013.

SCTC officials reported that, despite good drying weather in the days since that meeting, and the remainder of the track being rated a good 3, the 1200m chute remains in the heavy range and unsafe for racing.

As a consequence, SERA Stewards advise that the Benchmark 60 Handicap (1200m) and Maiden Handicap (1200m) on Monday’s fixture will be conducted from the 1200m course proper starting point. The fields for both races will be limited to a maximum of 12 starters.
