Ray Murrihy, Racing NSW’s Chairman of Stewards, has adjourned today’s ‘More Joyous’ Inquiry until further notice.
Murrihy will give Andrew Johns, Allan Robinson and Eddie Hayson one more chance to appear at the More Joyous inquiry before deciding if Gai Waterhouse, Tom Waterhouse or John Singleton face any charges.
“Racing New South Wales wishes to thank all those that attended today’s inquiry, but we are disappointed with the three failings to co-operate,” Murrihy said.
“These three people are in a chain of information that is central to the issue. We will contact these three people one more time in order to afford them the opportunity to appear. Should the three people once again fail to appear, recommendations will be made to initiate proper sanctions.
“We will be giving consideration to the large volume of evidence at hand and whether charges will be laid, and we hope to bring this inquiry to a swift and satisfactory conclusion.”
