This Saturday, 6 April marks Australia’s richest day of racing as the best go head to head for an opportunity to win a share in the 7.5 million in prize money on Tooheys New Golden Slipper Day at Rosehill Gardens.
Celebrating Sydney’s pinnacle day of world-class racing and grand fashion, the Australian Turf Club has partnered with internationally successful Australian actress, Tammin Sursok, to be the ambassador of the day.
The first overseas based face of the BMW Sydney Carnival, Tammin Sursok brings her star power to the already action-packed day. The Logie Award winning actress began her career as Dani Sutherland on Australia’s much loved Seven Network series, Home and Away before landing several successful roles in America including her Emmy-nominated performance on The Young and the Restless. Currently, Tammin is continuing her career shooting her fourth season as a wildly popular villainess on the successful American show, Pretty Little Liars.
The famously star-studded race day will be taken to new heights with Tammin’s presence.
Tammin will play a key role as an ambassador on race day presenting the Tooheys New Golden Slipper trophy – a marble-based gold trophy with diamond encrusted brooch worth $23,000 – in front of 30,000 racegoers and viewers nationally and internationally as it will be broadcast on Seven Network and racing network partners.
Tammin is available for interviews and photos leading up to and on Tooheys New Golden Slipper Day. Please contact Brittany Connor at TORSTAR Communications to coordinate: [email protected] or (02) 9222 9484
Following Tooheys New Golden Slipper Day, the Carnival continues at Royal Randwick for the ultra-fashionable David Jones Australian Derby Day, Sydney’s punters day – BMW Doncaster Day, and the Carnival finale, Schweppes Sydney Cup Day on 27 April.
