Tommy Berry Rides A Treble In Hong Kong

Golden Slipper winning jockey Tommy Berry continued his hot streak with a treble at Sha Tin on Sunday.

Berry won the feature race of the meeting, the Group 3 Premier Cup on the John Moore-trained Sterling City as well as capturing two other races on the program.

Home Of Racing’s Hong Kong journalist Nathan Mody had correctly tipped Sterling City to win the Premier Cup in his Saturday column. He also tipped leading jockey Douglas Whyte’s mount, All You Wish, in the final event in which the 3YO gelding won accordingly.

Whyte extended his lead in the premiership over Zac Purton to eight after riding a treble.

Purton got to within three of Whyte on the jockeys premiership, but since returning from suspension Whyte has put the premiership to bed.
