Trainer Gary Portelli reported to Racing NSW Stewards on Wednesday that LOUTREL (an acceptor in the Listed-Canonbury Stakes, 1100m at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday 16th February), sustained a cut above the right eye in its stable during a storm on Sunday night.
Mr Portelli stated that his vet treated Loutrel for the wound which required five stitches, and was satisfied with the colt’s fitness to accept today for Rosehill Gardens.
Racing NSW veterinarians will examine Loutrel upon the horse’s arrival at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.
