Champion Melbourne jockey Craig Williams has picked up the plum ride on the Wyong Magic Million winner Assail.
The unbeaten Clarry Conners-trained Assail has won two from two, easily accounted for her rivals in her debut run over 1000m at Wariwick Farm and in last week’s Wyong Magic Million 2YO Classic 1100m. So impressive was her victory last week she has been promoted to $4.80 favourtism for next month’s Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast.
Peter Robl partnered the Charge Forward filly at Wyong but a careless riding suspension last Saturday cost him the ride for the Gold Coast feature.
