Last Saturday’s Group 1 BTC Cup winner Your Song will be retired after he runs in the Doomben 10,000 and Stradbroke Handicap.
Widden Stud has won the right to stand the Fastnet Rock 3YO.
“Your Song has a great nature and has always been a delight to deal with,” trainer Anthony Cummings said.
“He is an outstanding colt both on type and nature and I have always believed him to have the class necessary at Group 1 level.
“Now he is a Group 1 winner and I believe he has all the necessary attributes to be a real success at stud.”
The colt’s next start will be in the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 (1350m) on May 25.
