Due to a decision by Fair Work Australia, Apprentice wages changed from 1 January 2014 to recognise adult Apprentices (age 21yrs plus) and different levels of schooling.
The change however only applies to those Apprentices signed into their first apprenticeship after 1 January 2014. Existing Apprentices are paid under the previous model.
Therefore, there are two different wage notices, depending on whether the apprentice commenced their initial apprenticeship before or after 1 January 2014 as per the attached Notices.
