Second Singapore Winner For Logan

Kiwi trainer Donna Logan sent out her second winner in Singapore on Sunday when two-year-old Burkaan, a son of Cambridge Stud sire Burgundy, obliged in the S$85,000 restricted maiden over 1000m.

Racing in the silks of the Al-Arabiya Stable, the gelding was making his third start having previously run fourth in a pair of maidens for Mark Walker.

“He’s a nice horse. He was caught wide all around, but CC (Wong Chin Chuen) gave him a lovely ride,” Logan said.

“Mark Walker trained him before and he came to us in very good shape even if he’s still very green. It’s onwards and upwards from now on. It’s good to get that second win today, things are slowly falling into place at the yard.”
