Walker Out On His Own In Singapore

Mark Walker has extended his already massive lead in his quest for another Singapore trainers’ premiership.

A double on Sunday with She’s The One and New Zealand-bred and owned Kingsman took him to 84 winners with Shane Baertschiger a distant second on 57.

Kingsman was making his Singapore debut when successful over 1200m at Kranji.

“He’s a horse who’s run in Group races back home,” said Walker, who won the New Zealand premiership five times and the Singapore title in 2015. “These Darci Brahmas just thrive here. They are quite relaxed and do very well.”

Kingsman was a winner and ran third in the Karaka Million (1200m) for Johno Benner and Hollie Wynyard before joining Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards’ stable. He finished third in the Gr.3 Mongolian Khan Trophy (1200m) from a handful of starts for them.
