Promising Sizzling two year-old The Fire Trap made it two wins from three starts when taking out the $70,000 Butler McDermott Law Classic at the Sunshine Coast on Saturday.
Trained by Matthew Dunn, The Fire Trap won on debut at Ipswich in May and was then a close fourth at the same track on June 16.
He overcame a wide gate to forge clear and win this 1200 metre assignment by half a length and has now won $66,000 for his lucky group of owners.
