2YO Winners For Russian Revolution And Extreme Choice

Russian Revolution posted his second winner when the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained colt Rise of the Masses scored on debut at Kembla on Saturday.

A homebred colt for Sir Owen Glenn’s Go Bloodstock, Rise of the Masses won a trial at Randwick last month and reproduced the effort on race day to lead all the way and win the 1000m maiden by a neck.

He is the second winner for Group I winning Bernardini(USA) mare Ruud Awakening, who was the Champion 2YO of New Zealand in 2013.

Russian Revolution has a great offering at Magic Millions with 39 of his yearlings catalogued.

The Kacy Fogden trained Extreme Choice colt Extremaartywas a hot favourite for the 900m maiden at the Gold Coast after finishing an unlucky second on debut at the Sunshine Coast and duly delivered for punters.

A $220,000 Magic Millions Book 2 purchase for his trainer from the Lyndhurst Stud draft, Extremaarty is the fourth winner from good producer Anabarbie, who comes from the family of champion miler Racing to Win and Everest hero Classique Legend.

Bred on the same cross as Golden Slipper winner Stay Inside, who is also from a daughter of Anabaa (USA), Extremaarty is the first two year-old winner this season for Extreme Choice, who has 10 entries for Magic Millions.
