Reminder that an increased weight allowance for 3yo’s was decided as part of the recent Benchmark review to encourage 3yo participation against older horses in Open Age Saturday handicap races of standard prizemoney.
The new scale appears below. Also note the change includes a lower minimum weight of 53kg for 3yo’s when older horses have the new (ARB) 54kg minimum – refer AR103(3)
